Job summary

PeaceHealth seeks a Medical Assistant for Internal Medicine on a Per Diem/Relief basis. The role supports physicians and care teams in patient preparation, exams, and basic procedures in a clinic setting in Washington state.

Required is a WA State MA Certification; MOA/Apprenticeship paths are considered. Per diem status implies variable schedule with competitive pay in the $26–$34 hourly range, dependent on experience and CBAs.

Qualifications

• WA State MA Certification is required.
• Interim credential accepted if applicable; must obtain full CMA/MA credential within 12 months.
• CMA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations and record vital signs.
• Prepare exam rooms and supplies for procedures.
• Administer injections and wound care under provider orders.
• Maintain and sterilize instruments and equipment.
• Assist with patient scheduling and follow-ups.
• Maintain patient files and enter data into EMR.
• Provide phone screening to clinical staff as needed.
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure smooth clinic operations.
