Job summary

PeaceHealth in Washington is hiring a Medical Assistant for a Full Time, 1.0 FTE, variable position. Shift typically four days per week with one-hour increments. Salary range shown is $25.62–$34.58 hourly, dependent on education and experience.

The role supports physicians and the care team, preparing patients, assisting with procedures, and handling scheduling and documentation within the EMR system. Strong clinical and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical office (preferred).
• WA State MA certification required (or interim credential with 12-month transition).
• Basic Life Support required at hire.
• Accredited Medical Assistant or MOA pathway considered.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations and record vital signs.
• Maintain exam rooms and set up supplies and equipment.
• Administer injections and basic wound care as directed.
• Assist in scheduling tests and follow-up visits.
• Maintain patient files and data entry in EMR.
• Provide phone screening and triage to clinical staff.
