Job summary

Trinityhealth is seeking a Part-time Back Office Medical Assistant to serve as the first clinical contact for SAMP patients. You will assist under physician supervision, deliver courteous patient services, and support administrative duties with the office team.

Qualifications include a MA program or 2 years of experience, high school diploma, CPR, and strong communication skills. Strong computer skills and medical terminology knowledge are required for efficient daily operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program or two (2) years of prior experience as a Medical Assistant is required.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR card is required.
• Exceptional verbal and written communications skills are required.
• Attention to detail, ability to multi-task and flexibility is required.
• Strong computer skills with experience and proficiency with medical systems is required.
• Ability to operate general office business machines (e.g., fax, copiers, etc.) is required.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology is required.
• Strong multi-tasking, planning, organization skills and ability to work independently as well as within a team is required.

Responsibilities

• First clinical point of contact for SAMP patients.
• Create the first impression of the medical office.
• Work under physician supervision performing clinical tasks during patient care.
• Report to the office coordinator/shift supervisor on administrative issues.
• Provide excellent customer/patient services via phone and in person.
• Collaborate with service staff to support direct patient services.
• Demonstrate flexibility and a can-do attitude.
• Maintain discretion, diplomacy, and tact in patient interactions.
