Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking a part-time Back Office Medical Assistant to serve as the first clinical contact for SAMP patients. You will provide exceptional patient services in person and by phone while working under physician supervision.

Responsibilities include collaborating with all staff, supporting direct patient services, and maintaining professional discretion in all patient interactions. CPR certification is required and strong computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of Medical Assistant program or 2 years MA experience required.
• AHA CPR for Healthcare Providers required.
• Exceptional verbal and written communications required.
• Attention to detail, multi-tasking and flexibility required.
• Strong computer skills with medical systems experience required.
• Ability to operate office machines (fax, copiers) required.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Act as first clinical contact for SAMP patients and create a positive first impression of the office.
• Provide excellent customer/patient services via phone and in person.
• Collaborate with all service staff to support direct patient services.
• Exercise discretion, diplomacy, and tact in patient/staff interactions.
• Report to Practice Manager and coordinate with office leadership on operational issues.
