Job summary

MD Now in West Palm Beach is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to support patient care in a fast-paced urgent care setting. You will prepare patients, assist with exams, injections, phlebotomy, and coordinate follow-ups.

The role requires 1+ year clinical experience, EHR familiarity, and completion of an approved Medical Assisting program; BLS and AAMA certification are a plus. Travel between MD Now locations may be required.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in a clinical patient setting
• Experience using an EHR system is very helpful
• Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) is helpful
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) preferred / required within 30 days of start
• Ability to obtain Breath Alcohol and Drug Screening certifications within 30 days

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and treatment by taking histories and vital signs
• Prepare exam rooms with instruments and maintain supplies/equipment including sterilization
• Give injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy
• Assist physicians with splints, dressings and bandages
• Assist with transfers and scheduling of follow-up care
• Coordinate patient physicals and workplace injuries for partner accounts
• Screen referrals to physicians and practitioners
