Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Medication Aide / Med Tech in New Jersey to support resident care with precise medication administration and strict adherence to safety protocols.

You will follow physician orders, document in MAR/TAR in real time, monitor residents during medication passes, and report any concerns promptly to ensure high-quality, compliant care for our residents.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Strong documentation and communication skills are essential.
• CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
• Medication Administration certification is required.
• Senior care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration.
• Document in MAR/TAR accurately and in real time.
• Observe residents during and after medication passes.
• Monitor symptoms and administer medications as ordered for symptom relief.
• Report refusals or concerns promptly.
• Complete narcotic counts per policy.
• Maintain clean, organized medication carts and rooms.
• Follow infection control and safety standards.
