Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in West Orange, NJ is seeking a Part-time Medication Aide/Med Tech to administer medications, monitor residents, and ensure safety and accuracy in daily care. You will document in MAR/TAR, follow six rights, and report concerns promptly, contributing to high-quality senior care.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, medication administration certification, CPR/First Aid, and strong communication. Prior senior care experience is preferred.

• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Senior care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration.
• Document in MAR/TAR accurately and in real time.
• Observe residents during and after medication passes.
• Monitor symptoms and administer medications as ordered for symptom relief.
• Report refusals or concerns promptly.
• Complete narcotic counts per policy.
• Maintain clean, organized medication carts and rooms.
• Follow infection control and safety standards.
