Job summary

Harmony Senior Services, LLC is seeking a Part-Time Med Tech in Suffolk, VA to provide quality care and assist with daily living activities and medication administration within scope. You will maintain EMAR/MAR documentation and collaborate with RNs and CNAs.

The role requires completion of the Medication Aide course, CNA and Med Tech licenses in good standing, CPR/First Aid, ability to lift 50 lbs, and willingness to work weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have completed the Medication Aide Course.
• Must possess both current CNA and Med Tech licenses in good standing.
• Must satisfactorily pass 2 medication observations annually.
• Must satisfactorily pass all medication cart audits assigned.
• Must attend 4 additional hours of medication administration education annually.
• Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in-writing.
• Must be organized and able to work well with all levels of personnel.
• Must be a contributing member of nursing team and follow instruction of supervisor.
• Must be polite and considerate of residents, visitors, and co-workers at all times.

Responsibilities

• Assists with administration of prescribed medications within the established scope of practice.
• Assists residents with activities of daily living.
• Performs medication cart audits and maintains the medication cart.
• Documents all medication administration on EMAR/MAR.
• Reports incidents and communicates resident status to the HCD and other staff.
• Attends medication trainings and in-services.
• Assists new residents with move-in transition and provides emotional support.
• Follows confidentiality policies regarding resident information.
