Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Suffolk, VA is seeking a Med Tech to provide quality care and assist with daily living activities for residents. You will help administer prescribed medications within scope, support activity programs, and maintain accurate documentation in EMAR/MAR and Daily Log.

Responsibilities include reporting incidents promptly, maintaining confidentiality, conducting medication observations, and collaborating with the nursing team.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have completed the Medication Aide Course.
• Must possess CNA and Med Tech licenses in good standing.
• Must pass 2 medication observations annually and all medication cart audits.
• Must attend 4 additional hours of medication administration education annually.
• Must communicate effectively verbally and in writing; be organized.

Responsibilities

• Assist with administration of prescribed medications within scope.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Report incidents and care concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Perform housekeeping duties in resident areas as directed.
• Respond promptly to resident calls and emergencies.
• Assist in planning and conducting resident activity programs.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
• Move residents safely and assist with meals and transfers.
• Document medication administration in EMAR/MAR and Daily Log.
• Re-orders medications and communicate changes with pharmacy and families.
