Job summary

SQA Services is seeking a Quality Mechanical Source Inspector for the Midwest region. The role is part-time, 20-25 hours weekly, 2-3 days per week on an as-needed basis, with travel to supplier locations as required.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of hands-on inspection experience, strong GD&T skills, and the ability to read and interpret drawings. On-site work will involve various inspection activities and documentation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on inspection experience.
• Ability to read drawings and standards.
• Proficiency in GD&T and tolerances.
• Experience with certificates of conformance and inspection docs.
• Excellent visual acuity.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision inspection verifications on mechanical parts, components, assemblies, and materials.
• Inspect purchased parts, in-process and final assemblies, and materials for conformance to drawings/standards.
• Perform surface plate inspection of first article, in-process, and lot samples as needed.
• Utilize micrometers, gauge blocks, dial indicators, height gauges, and CMMs.
• Verify documentation packages to industry/commodity standards.
• Classify defect types and verify rework during inspection.
