Polly Food Service Inc is seeking a diligent Meat Clerk / Wrapper in Blissfield. You will assist the meat department with packaging, labeling, stocking, and displaying products while ensuring freshness and cleanliness.

Customer service and adherence to safety procedures are essential in a fast-paced, refrigerated environment. The position is part-time, requires a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays, and offers opportunities to work closely with meat cutters to support production

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior retail, grocery, or food service experience is helpful but not required.
• Ability to work in cold environments and handle raw meat.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Basic math and reading skills.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs. and stand for long periods.
• Reliable, with a strong work ethic and good communication skills.
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Weigh, wrap, and label meat products for self-service and full-service displays.
• End of day meat room cleaning/sanitizing.
• Stock and rotate meat cases and prepackaged product to ensure proper product freshness and presentation.
• Monitor product dates and remove any expired or outdated items.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of wrapping station, tools, and display areas.
• Assist with unloading and organizing meat deliveries.
• Help customers locate products and answer basic questions.
• Ensure proper labeling of all items, including product name, weight, price, and use-by date.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and store procedures.
• Work closely with meat cutters to support production and sales.
