Job summary

EASTCONN is hiring two hourly, part-time Math Tutors to deliver high-dosage instruction to CDT program students in Willimantic, Connecticut. This grant-funded role supports remediation of foundational math skills and advances students’ understanding in a structured setting.

Tutors work with one or two students in 30-minute sessions, following CDT behavior and safety procedures. Training is provided, with collaboration with teachers to align tutoring with classroom goals.

Qualifications

• Interest in mathematics instruction for diverse learners.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Willingness to participate in required training and follow procedures.
• Experience with children in educational settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted math tutoring to one or two students during 30-minute sessions.
• Identify gaps in foundational math skills and support advancement of current skills.
• Deliver explicit, structured instruction tailored to individual needs.
