Job summary

Grand Rapids Community College is seeking a Professional Tutor (Mathematics) for part-time support. You will tutor Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, and Pre-Calculus for individuals and small groups, at the Promise Zone Tutoring and Learning Center or designated classrooms.

Qualifications include an associate degree or higher and experience tutoring; proficiency with Gmail, Canvas, and Blackboard is desirable. This role reports to the Center Coordinator.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher preferred.
• Experience teaching/tutoring students preferred.
• Content knowledge across algebra and geometry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Tutor in Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, and Pre-Calculus for individuals and small groups.
• Assist the Tutorial Coordinator and mentor student tutors.
• Promote student success and maintain professional relations with staff and students.
• Follow FERPA policies and center procedures.
