Job summary

A public research university in New Orleans is seeking a part-time Mathematics Tutor to assist students in freshman and sophomore level courses. The role includes one-on-one tutoring in algebra topics and support with online homework tools. Availability is needed Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4:30 PM, with a maximum of 30 hours per week. Qualifications

• Experience working with students at either a high school or higher education institution.
• Current bachelor's degree students who have passed Algebra and Trigonometry may apply.
• 3 years of experience teaching high school or higher education mathematics instruction.

Responsibilities

• Tutor students in Pre-Algebra, Introductory Algebra, Intermediate Algebra, or Applied College Algebra.
• Help students with online platforms such as myLSUE, myCourses, MyMathLab.
• Oversee laboratory operations and manage technical issues.
