This position is responsible for instruction in the Mathematics program at the non-transfer college level. This includes developing a relevant and progressive curriculum, designing and implementing effective learning strategies and environments, delivering instruction of high quality, assessing student learning, advising students, and participating in college service activities at the department, division and college levels.
The following duties are typically expected of this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
1. Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics
OR License to teach secondary (e.g., high school) mathematics
OR Any education licensure and 18 credits in mathematics at the undergraduate or graduate level
OR Bachelor's degree in a related field and 18 credits in mathematics at the undergraduate or graduate level. Examples of related fields include Math Education, Engineering, and Physics.
Foreign Transcript Evaluation: If using a foreign transcript for qualification, applicant must provide a course-by-course evaluation report to verify foreign transcripted credit equivalency. A translation of the transcript will not be sufficient to determine equivalency.
Salary depends upon workload (pay rate is approximately $1,248.50 per contact hour).
