Job summary

AoPS Academy is seeking a part-time math instructor for the Vienna campus to teach advanced math using our curriculum. Classes are small and held after school or on weekends, fostering student-led learning and curiosity in mathematics.

You will grade tests, provide feedback, and build strong relationships with students and their families, inspiring critical thinking and a love of math.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in STEM or education strongly preferred.
• Strong content knowledge in math.
• Experience teaching or tutoring students.
• K-12 classroom teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach using company-created curriculum to small math classes (up to 16 students).
• Engage students and promote student-led learning.
• Grade tests and provide feedback.
• Build relationships with students and families to impact their educational journey.
• Inspire love for learning and critical thinking in math.
