Job summary

AoPS Academy is hiring a Part-Time Math Instructor to teach advanced math to small groups at our Bellevue, WA campus. The role focuses on delivering engaging lessons from company curricula, guiding students through problem solving, and fostering a love of math.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree in a STEM or education field, have strong math knowledge, and preferably classroom teaching or tutoring experience with K-12 students. In-person evenings and weekend availability is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• A STEM-related or educational field degree is strongly preferred.
• Strong content knowledge in math.
• K-12 teaching or tutoring experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach using AoPS curriculum in small math classes.
• Engage students actively and encourage student-led learning.
• Manage up to 16 students per class.
• Grade tests and provide feedback on assignments.
• Build relationships with students and families to impact education.
• Inspire love for learning and critical thinking in math.
