Job summary

Second Baptist School University-Model® (SBSUM) is actively seeking part-time Math Faculty to teach in the dual credit program with Houston Christian University (HCU). The role serves as a dual credit instructor for SBSUM and an adjunct professor for HCU across multiple campus locations.

The faculty member will plan, organize, and implement instructional programs while fostering biblical values and academic excellence for high school students enrolling in college-level courses.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited institution required.
• Previous dual credit instruction experience preferred.
• Strong Christian testimony and calling to serve as a positive role model.
• Heart to provide exceptional customer service to the community.

• Desire to lead and support school-wide initiatives.
• Strong content knowledge in the specific subject area.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver lesson plans and materials per SBSUM and HCU standards.
• Communicate with parents and administrators to promote educational excellence.
• Manage classroom behavior and uphold biblical discipline standards.
• Update records accurately and completely.
• Observe and evaluate student performance and provide feedback.
• Establish clear learning objectives for all activities.
• Assign and grade classwork, homework, tests and assignments promptly.
• Respond to parent inquiries by phone or email; provide information when requested.
• Participate in appropriate professional activities.
• Comply with SBSUM, Second Baptist School and Church policies.
• Attend required meetings, trainings, and school functions.
• Supervise co-curricular activities, organizations, and outings as assigned.
