Job summary

Beloit Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) seeks a Substance Use Counselor for our Outpatient MAT program in Wisconsin. This part-time role supports 22–24 hours per week with early morning shifts from Monday to Friday, helping patients in recovery from opioid use disorder.

The counselor will conduct individual and group sessions, document treatment plans, and coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team in a leading MAT setting.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in social or health services required.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree preferred in social or health services.
• Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Experience in addiction recovery or behavioral health settings.
• Familiarity with Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT).
• Experience conducting individual and group counseling sessions.
• Knowledge of CBT, MI, and relapse prevention techniques.
• Documentation experience with clinical notes and treatment plans.
• Familiarity with state regulatory standards (e.g., 42 CFR Part 2, HIPAA).
• Experience collaborating in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality, compassionate guidance in individual and group counseling sessions.
• Plan, oversee, facilitate and document patient’s recovery.
• Co-facilitate assigned group or family sessions as needed.
• Ensure all documentation regarding patient care is completed timely and clearly.
• Prepare individual treatment plans for each assigned patient.
• Conduct initial and follow-up assessments.
• Evaluate patient needs and referrals to other programs.
• May plan for aftercare for assigned patients.
• Provide crisis intervention as needed.
• Provide case management duties ensuring individualized quality care.
• Act as liaison between referral sources and patients.
