Appleton Comprehensive Treatment Center in Appleton, WI seeks a Substance Use Counselor for a part-time position (16 hours/week) to provide compassionate individual and group counseling to patients with opioid use disorder. You will document progress, develop treatment plans, and coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires experience in addiction recovery, MAT familiarity, and knowledge of evidence-based practices such as CBT and MI.

Qualifikationen

• Associate degree required; Bachelor’s or Master’s preferred in social/health services.
• Experience in addiction recovery or behavioral health settings (outpatient, residential, or correctional).
• Familiarity with MAT: methadone, buprenorphine, and naltrexone.
• Experience conducting individual and group counseling sessions.
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices (CBT, MI, relapse prevention).
• Documentation experience with clinical notes and treatment plans per regulations.
• Familiarity with state regulations (42 CFR Part 2, HIPAA).
• Experience collaborating with medical staff, case managers, and peer supports.

Aufgaben

• Provide high quality individual and group counseling.
• Plan, oversee, facilitate and document patient’s recovery.
• Co-facilitate assigned group or family sessions as needed.
• Ensure all documentation regarding patient care, treatment, and incidents is completed timely and clearly.
• Prepare individual treatment plans for each patient.
• Initial and follow-up assessments.
• Evaluate patient needs and referrals to other programs.
• May plan for aftercare for assigned patients.
• Provide crisis intervention to patients as needed.
• Provide case management to ensure individualized quality care.
• Act as a liaison between referral sources and patients.
