Job summary

Fastenal Co. in Winona, MN is seeking a part-time Master Data Management Data Specialist to create and update data records ensuring high-quality information for all business processes.

The role requires attention to data accuracy, strong communication, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams. The position offers MON-FRI shifts from 7:00am to 5:00pm (10–28 hours/week) and is located at 212 W 2nd St, Winona.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in a customer service or business environment or working towards a degree in business, marketing, information technology, data science, computer science, processes management or related field.
• Proficient using the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with care.

Responsibilities

• Creating new data records based on validated information and quality processes.
• Researching and updating information on MDM topics to improve data for business processes.
• Validating MDM data against internal and external sources as needed.
• Maintaining data accuracy through quality checks and cleansing processes.
• Assisting in duplicate record identification and data cleansing to reconcile those situations.
• Identifying data quality or process improvement opportunities and escalating them to leadership.
• Maintaining frequent communication with branch operations, corporate support teams and sales teams for data validation and issue resolution.
