Job summary

MedStar Lafayette Centre in Washington, DC is seeking an Experienced Mammography Technologist for a part-time role. The position covers 2 to 3 days per week (Monday/Friday) from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm within our outpatient imaging center.

Under the Radiology Medical Director, you will perform breast imaging procedures, ensure safety per MQSA/ALARA, and support education for patients and staff while contributing to ongoing quality improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• Must have an Associate Degree in Radiology or graduate of an accredited two-year radiology program.
• ARRT registration in Radiography with current status; Mammo advanced registry required on hire.
• State licensure as applicable where employed.
• Up to 3 years of Mammography Technologist experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform breast imaging procedures per protocol for interpretation by licensed physicians.
• Maintain safety and ALARA principles during exams.
• Document imaging data and ensure accurate patient records.
• Contribute to quality assurance and center teamwork.
• Provide education to patients and trainees as needed.
