Job summary

Outpatient Imaging Affiliates, LLC is seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist for a part-time role at Medstar Lafayette Centre in Washington, DC. The position involves 2 to 3 days per week (Monday/Friday) from 8am to 4:30pm and requires ARRT certification in Radiography with Mammo credentialing.

The Mammography Technologist will perform breast imaging procedures, ensure safety and quality, and provide patient education while adhering to MQSA and ALARA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Up to 3 years of experience as a Mammography Technologist.
• Must have a minimum Associate Degree in Radiology or be a graduate of an accredited two-year radiology program.
• Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography and maintain current registration; Mammo advanced registration required upon hire for IDTF centers.

Responsibilities

• Performs breast imaging procedures and related techniques as directed by the Radiology Medical Director.
• Ensures services are performed safely in accordance with guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Maintains proper documentation in patient records and ensures image quality and identification.
• Adheres to MQSA regulations and ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure.
• Provides education to patients and staff, and participates in quality assurance activities.
• Assists in managing imaging center operations and supports other modalities as needed.
