Job summary

Cedarhurst Senior Living is seeking a part-time Maintenance Coordinator to ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained living environment for residents. This role reports to the Maintenance Director and involves interior, exterior, and grounds upkeep within the community.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, apartment readiness, safety documentation, and coordination with contractors. Strong carpentry and basic plumbing skills are preferred; CPR/BLS is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-3 years of related maintenance experience preferred.
• Completion of an accredited maintenance training program may be considered in lieu of experience.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.
• Working knowledge of carpentry, drywall, painting, and basic plumbing.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all areas inside the building to the highest cleanliness standards, including carpets and windows.
• Support grounds maintenance and landscaping coordination with contractors.
• Assist with implementing and documenting a preventive maintenance program.
• Prepare and refurbish apartments for resident move-ins, including patching, painting and flooring work.
• Maintain fire safety and emergency records; respond to hazards and incidents.
• Schedule and perform preventative maintenance; keep quality assurance records.
• Document tasks and turnovers using building management software.
• Communicate with residents' families about residents’ well-being.
• Collaborate with staff and follow management direction; engage in conflict resolution as needed.
