Job summary

Cedarhurst Senior Living is seeking a Maintenance Coordinator to help ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained living environment for residents. The role reports to the Maintenance Director and covers interior, exterior, and grounds upkeep, contributing to a welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities include cleaning, carpentry, painting, plumbing, preventative maintenance, and safety documentation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years of related experience preferred.
• Completion of an accredited maintenance training program may be considered in lieu of work experience.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.
• Working knowledge of carpentry including drywall repair, painting, light plumbing, and preventative maintenance.
• Proficient in basic computer systems and software, including Microsoft Office and electronic records platforms.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all areas inside the building to high cleanliness standards, including carpet cleaning and flooring maintenance.
• Support grounds maintenance and collaborate with landscaping contractors.
• Assist with preventative maintenance program for building and equipment.
• Prepare and refurbish apartments for resident move-ins.
• Maintain fire safety and emergency records and respond to environmental concerns.
• Schedule and perform preventative maintenance and track work orders.
• Document maintenance tasks using building management software.
• Repair and maintain janitorial equipment and facilities.
• Communicate with residents’ families regarding residents’ wellbeing.
• Collaborate with staff and follow management directions.
