Job summary

Hopkinsville Community College invites applications for our part-time Computerized Manufacturing and Machining Technology adjunct faculty pool. These are temporary, part-time positions used to fill classroom vacancies as needed when regular full-time faculty are not available due to increased enrollment, workload, or scheduling: days, evenings, weekends, and/or online.

Salary is paid per credit hour with on-site work at Hopkinsville Community College.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a qualifying field or associate’s degree with demonstrated competencies in a qualifying field (Machine Tool Technology, Computerized Manufacturing & Machining)
• Ability to teach in a manufacturing and machining context
• Ability to prepare lesson plans and maintain records of student attainment and progress

Responsibilities

• Plans and carries out instruction, instructional activities, and prepares learning materials for special studies.
• Provides instructions to students in both theory and practice in the area of instruction.
• Prepares lesson plans and maintains records and reports on student attainment and progress.
• Maintains classroom order and discipline.
