Job summary

Candidates should have substantial machine shop knowledge, CNC familiarity, blueprint reading, and the ability to work with minimal supervision; overtime is required. Enrolled in a technical program is preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years' experience with manual lathes, mills and grinders.
• Strong knowledge of CNC equipment.
• Experience reading blueprints and GD&T.
• Enrolled in or holding a technical Machine Shop degree.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and move between machines as workload shifts.
• Willingness to work overtime, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Set up machines and fixtures for individual parts.
• Read and interpret standard and metric blueprints with GD&T.
• Operate machine shop equipment and monitor quality with measuring instruments.
• Move between machines/jobs as workload shifts.
• Document actions and communicate irregularities to a partner on other shift.
• Perform housekeeping and cleanup as needed.
