Job summary

Sonoco in Horsham, PA is seeking a Maintenance Apprentice. The role starts with a wage of $25.40 per hour and a 12-hour shift schedule (3/4/4/3) with monthly rotation between days and nights, aiming to 36–40 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• GED/High School Diploma required.
• Associates degree/certification in mechatronics or related field preferred.
• Experience with hand tools is a plus.
• Willingness to learn and complete on-the-job training.
• Must maintain a 3.0 average during schooling.

Responsibilities

• Complies with safety practices and plant policies for safe work.
• Installs, maintains, and troubleshoots machinery and tooling.
• Interprets drawings and prepares parts per prints with precision.
• Operates machine tools, lathes, and grinders as required.
• Performs preventive maintenance and housekeeping duties.
• Communicates with next shift and documents activities.
