Job Overview

BoosterPet is looking for passionate and experienced Licensed Veterinary Technicians to share our vision of providing healthy work spaces. We are looking for LVT's that are self‑motivated, driven to succeed and are passionate about elevating veterinary medicine through collaboration, innovation, and providing excellent service.

Responsibilities

• Play an active role in the BoosterPet medical team to provide quality medical care and model BoosterPet’s core values.
• Complete physical exams, triage and vitals on behalf of our DVMs.
• Be tech savvy.
• Support BoosterPet urgent care services and telemed wellness as needed.
• Complete detailed medical records with thorough medical history and ensure records are accurate within the practice management system.
• Educate animal owners.
• Liaise with veterinarians and veterinary assistants to ensure continuity of patient care.
• Follow all safety protocols to ensure safety of pets, clients, and team members.
• Administer medications and treatments prescribed by a veterinarian.
• Obtain and verify medications.
• Perform phlebotomy duties, and provide intramuscular, intravenous, and subcutaneous injections.
• Restrain pets in a manner that allows necessary work to be performed, minimizes stress to pets, and ensures safety.
• Assist at front desk/kiosk and greet clients/patients upon entry.
• Answer phones and make appointments as needed.
• Perform laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.
• Administer first aid for emergencies.
• Knowledge of the RECOVER guidelines.
• Induce, monitor, and recover anesthetic patients.
• Complete regional anesthesia when needed.
• Maintain a safe, secure, healthy, and humane environment by sterilizing and wrapping instruments, sanitizing operating areas, verifying shelf life of medications, maintaining equipment, and complying with legal regulations.

Requirements

• Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure in Washington.
