Job summary

BoosterPet in Washington State is seeking licensed veterinary technicians who are passionate about elevating veterinary medicine through collaboration and compassionate care. You will join a medical team delivering quality care, triage, and client education while supporting DVMs and urgent care services.

Responsibilities include accurate medical records, phlebotomy, injections, anesthesia induction/monitoring, radiology, lab work, and front desk support.

Qualifications

  • Washington veterinary technician licensure required.
  • Ability to perform physical exams, triage and vitals for DVMs.
  • Experience with phlebotomy and anesthesia monitoring preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality medical care as part of BoosterPet team.
  • Complete physical exams, triage, and vitals for DVMs.
  • Administer medications and vaccines per vet orders.
  • Perform phlebotomy and administer IM/IV/SQ injections.
  • Maintain accurate medical records in the PMS.
  • Educate animal owners and coordinate with vets and techs.
  • Maintain sterile environment and safety protocols.
  • Assist at front desk and handle calls/appointments.
  • Perform lab work and diagnostic imaging.
  • Emergency first aid as needed.

We are looking for LVT's that are self-motivated, driven to succeed and are passionate about elevating veterinary medicine through collaboration, innovation, and providing excellent service.

Responsibilities
  • Play an active role in the BoosterPet medical team to provide quality medical care, model BoosterPet’s core values
  • Ability to complete physical exams, triage and complete vitals on behalf of our DVMs
  • Be tech savvy
  • Support BoosterPet urgent care services and telemed wellness as needed
  • Complete detailed medical records with through medical history. Ensure medical records are accurate within the practice management system
  • Educate animal owners
  • Liaising with veterinarians and veterinary assistants to ensure continuity of patient care
  • Follow all safety protocols to ensure safety of pets, clients, and team members
  • Administering medications and treatments prescribed by a veterinarian
  • Obtains and verifies medications
  • Performing phlebotomy duties, and providing intramuscular (IM), intravenous (IV) and subcutaneous (SQ) injections
  • Restrain pets in a manner that allows necessary work to be performed, minimizes stress to pets, and ensures the safety of pets and people
  • Assist at front desk/kiosk and greet clients/patients upon entry
  • Answer phones and make appointments as needed
  • Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging
  • Administering first aid for emergencies
  • Knowledge with the RECOVER guidelines
  • Induce/monitor and recover anesthetic patients
  • Complete regional anesthesia when needed
  • Maintains safe, secure, healthy, and humane environment by sterilizing and wrapping instruments, sanitizing operating areas, verifying shelf life of medications, maintaining equipment and complying with legal regulations
Requirements
  • Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure in Washington
