Ohio Valley Surgical Hospital is seeking a Part-Time General Surgery Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the team in Springfield, OH. The LPN will work closely with the primary care physician to deliver high-quality patient care within the Medical Assisting scope and state guidelines.

The role includes reviewing health records, measuring vital signs, preparing treatment rooms, and supporting pre- and post-operative care. BLS is required, and prior LPN experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Active LPN license/certification preferred and must be in good standing.
• Experience as an LPN in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Current BLS certification required upon hire.

Responsabilités

• Prepare patients for visits and examinations, assist with rooming and positioning.
• Obtain imaging, pathology, and operative reports prior to appointments.
• Record vital signs and document in the EMR; assist during examinations.
• Support physicians during procedures and prepare labs and specimens as needed.
• Manage preoperative and postoperative care, and schedule follow-up appointments.
