Southern Ohio Medical Center is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for the Surgical Associates department in Portsmouth, OH. This full-time role supports providers with patient exams, orders, and education, while maintaining supplies, documentation, and scheduling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program required.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with BLS certification within 90 days of hire required.

Responsibilities

• Assists provider with patient examinations, procedures, venipuncture and other diagnostic testing.
• Collects and documents vitals, chief complaints, pain assessment, and medical histories.
• Performs and maintains other LPN duties related to physician office operations.
• Conducts monthly inspections of supplies and medications to check expirations and disposal per policy.
• Ensures clinical supplies are properly stocked.
• Reviews charts for next day\'s appointments.
• Logs and updates patient medication lists.
• May provide coverage in other areas of the Foundation offices.
