Job summary

GEO Secured Services in Michigan is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our correctional health team. You will participate in implementing and evaluating detainees' health care needs and provide comprehensive nursing care within security requirements.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, current Michigan LPN license, and 2 years of direct nursing experience preferred. This role offers competitive wages and benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and valid LPN license in Michigan.
• 2 years of direct nursing experience preferred.
• Ability to work with limited supervision and provide appropriate follow-through care.
• Knowledge of security requirements in a detainee health setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop nursing care plans with guidance from RN.
• Perform complete physical assessment and medical history.
• Provide nursing care within your capacity and refer issues to physician.
• Administer prescribed medications as instructed.
• Document detainee contacts and maintain confidentiality of medical records.
