Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a part-time Security Officer – Enhanced in Omaha, NE. The role provides reliable hours at an assigned site with the option to earn more by picking up additional shifts using our scheduling platform.

The position requires at least 6 months of security experience, ability to greet visitors, monitor access, and respond to incidents.

Qualifications

• Have at least 6 months of security‑related experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures and front‑desk policies at a commercial real estate location.
• Greet and screen visitors, verify access authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor and vendor records.
• Monitor building access points, cameras, alarms, and other security‑related systems; report unusual activity or access concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, tenant concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, including coordinating with emergency responders when appropriate.
• Answer and direct incoming calls, provide building information, and communicate professionally with property management, tenants, and Allied Universal leadership.
