Job summary

Washtenaw Community College is seeking a Part Time Online Technologies Support to assist with LMS (Canvas) and related instructional tools. You will work with the Center for Interactive Teaching & Learning to support faculty and students, handle Tier II tickets, and assist with accessibility reviews on campus.

The role requires an Associate degree or higher with 2 years of LMS-related experience, solid MS Office skills, and strong communication abilities.

Qualifications

Associates degree (or higher) and 2 years with a technology platform (e.g., LMS) or equivalent experience.
Intermediate MS Office skills.
Help desk or customer service experience.
Strong communication and active listening abilities.
Ability to learn new software tools and AI-supported tools.

Responsibilities

Provide scheduled and drop-in faculty and student support for LMS and related tools.
Support 3rd party instructional technology tools associated with the LMS.
Resolve Tier II LMS tickets meeting service level agreements.
Collaborate with Faculty Online Support team for implementation and coverage.
Communicate updates to the Director, Online Technologies on volume and trends.
Support Online Learning semester operations and ADA/UDL accessibility reviews.
Maintain and manage LMS course sites and related content.
Utilize helpdesk software to resolve issues and look up information.
Coordinate with instructional designers and media specialists to resolve issues.
Attend team, departmental and division meetings; on-campus presence required.
Leverage AI-enabled tools while safeguarding confidentiality.
