Job summary

The Pioneer Center for the Arts in St. George, Utah is hiring a part-time Community Arts Sound and Light Technician to bring live productions to life.

You’ll program and operate lighting and sound systems, coordinate event setups, and work behind the scenes to ensure stages, screens, speakers, and spotlights are ready for showtime. This role involves serving performers, production crews, and the public, adapting to festivals and city events, and staying on-site during events to respond to any

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: Customer service experience preferred but not required.
• Knowledge/Abilities: General knowledge of recreation and leisure activities and programming practices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and breaks down events at City facilities and ensures readiness for the next event.
• Provides on-site supervision during events to address emergencies and coordinate logistics.
• Assists with production of city-sponsored events and festivals.
• Provides customer service in person and over the phone; answers questions and directs to staff.
