Job summary

City of St. George seeks a Community Arts Sound and Light Technician to power lights and sound for concerts, movies, and city festivals.

You will program and operate lighting and sound systems, troubleshoot challenges, and coordinate event setups to ensure stages and equipment are ready for showtime. Under the supervision of the Technical Theater Coordinator, you will assist with productions, set up and breakdown, and provide on-site support during events, delivering friendly customer service to

Qualifications

High school diploma preferred.
Customer service experience preferred.
Some related experience in sound engineering, lighting design, and programming is preferred.

Responsibilities

Set up and break down all events at City facilities, including venues and plazas.
Assure facility is clean and ready for the event.
Be on-site during events to handle emergencies and rearrange seating as needed.
Ensure no damage to facilities and that rentals are returned in good condition.
Assist with production of city events and festivals.
Provide customer service in person and over the phone; answer questions and refer to staff.
Respond to public inquiries about recreation programs and services.
