Job summary

Markey's in Dayton, OH is seeking a Part-Time Event Technician to set up and operate high-end AV equipment for live, virtual, and hybrid events at the Marriott at UD. This client-facing role requires strong troubleshooting and immediate problem-solving on-site.

You will work with Project Managers and other technicians, perform setup/teardown, and ensure safe, professional presentation of gear while delivering excellent customer service; some evenings and weekends required.

Qualifications

• Experience with setup, operation, and troubleshooting of AV equipment.
• Ability to work in a collaborative team or independently under supervision.
• Excellent communication with clients and staff.
• Ability to meet DOT medical certification requirements and drive company vehicles.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with clients and managers to ensure successful events.
• Set up, tear down, and transport equipment to/from venues.
• Operate audio, visual, lighting, and rigging gear for live and virtual events.
• Provide responsive customer service and handle equipment changes promptly.
• Ensure equipment is safe, functional, and user-friendly for clients.
• Troubleshoot issues on-site and resolve them efficiently.
• Support warehouse, deliveries, and routine maintenance as needed.
