Job summary

Markey's in Dayton, Ohio, is seeking a Live Event Audio Visual Technician for part-time as-needed work at the Marriott at the University of Dayton. The role is client-facing and focuses on setting up and operating high-end AV equipment for live, virtual, and hybrid events.

You will troubleshoot issues, handle teardown after each event, and coordinate with Project Managers and other technicians. Some evenings and weekends are required, with overtime opportunities for holidays.

Qualifications

• Must have working knowledge of AV equipment setup, operation and troubleshooting.
• Ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
• Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times.

Responsibilities

• Set-up, tear-down, loading and unloading of equipment.
• Operate AV, lighting and rigging for live and virtual events.
• Provide excellent customer service and handle equipment changes promptly.
• Ensure equipment is functional and safely presented to clients.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues to satisfactory resolution.
• Assist in warehouse operations, deliveries, and preventative maintenance as needed.
