Job summary

Keywords Studios is seeking a Live Captioning Project Manager to plan, coordinate, and oversee live captioning/streaming projects across platforms. You will ensure on-time delivery and high quality, collaborating with broadcast, engineering, IT, and accessibility teams to set requirements and timelines.

The role emphasizes real-time problem-solving, workflows for captions and translations, and vendor management. Flexible, part-time hours apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Broadcast Engineering, Media, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in live streaming, captioning, or a related technical project management role.
• Strong knowledge of accessibility standards (ADA/WCAG) and captioning regulations.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee live captioning and streaming projects from conception to completion, ensuring on-time and high-quality delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
• Lead configuration and deployment of streaming infrastructure, captioning tools, and platforms (OBS, Wirecast, YouTube Live, Twitch, Zoom, etc.).
• Ensure adherence to accessibility standards and regulatory compliance.
• Troubleshoot real-time issues during live broadcasts and minimize downtime.
• Develop workflows for integrating live captions, transcripts, and translations with content.
• Manage relationships with third-party vendors, freelancers, and captioning service providers.
