Job summary

Auction.com in Roanoke, VA is seeking an Associate Auction Coordinator for part-time live auctions. You will host, co-host, and participate in auctions, interact with bidders, and ensure all pre-auction requirements are met. Training and travel are part of the role, with mileage support where applicable.

You’ll educate customers on how to participate in auctions and help turn houses into homes while promoting a high level of professionalism and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Tech-savvy with strong troubleshooting skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent listening, verbal and written communication.
• Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic environment.
• Capable of multitasking and managing several assignments.
• Comfortable leading or addressing a crowd.
• Patient, clear and concise when talking to customers.
• Open to feedback and coaching.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and collect attendee information for pre-auction requirements.
• Learn and share knowledge about Auction.com programs and resources.
• Collect sensitive buyer and seller information with 100% data accuracy.
• Provide customer service to event day attendees.
• Multi-task in a fast-paced auction environment with attention to detail.
• Attend and contribute to scheduled training and team calls.
• Maintain professionalism with customers and staff.
• Handle cash and complete event receipts.
• Complete event reports.
