Job summary

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tampa Bay is seeking dynamic part-time tutors to support members in the Ridgecrest/Largo area. You will review content with students, explain problem solving, and help them develop study skills and organization.

This role emphasizes child protection policies, teamwork with Literacy staff, and flexible hours with a focus on student success in a community-based setting.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in education preferred.
• Teaching certification required.
• 3-5 years of K-12 teaching experience.
• Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review content with club members, explain how to solve problems, and check completed work.
• Support students in developing study skills and organizational techniques.
• Supervise small groups and provide positive guidance as a role model.
• Ensure adherence to child protection, health, safety, and confidentiality policies.
• Collaborate with Club Directors to support family involvement in student success.
