Qualifications

• Master’s in linguistics or applied linguistics, or equivalent credentials.
• Bachelor’s in linguistics and Master’s in TESOL, anthropology, psychology, sociology, English or any foreign language.
• A valid California Community College Credential.
• Equivalent education and/or experience (requires an equivalency).
• Commitment to equity-minded teaching and serving diverse student populations.

Responsibilities

• Teach a part-time schedule of Linguistics courses as assigned.
• Use varied pedagogies and online/hybrid formats.
• Communicate effectively with students, faculty and staff.
• Adhere to approved curriculum outlines of record.
• Provide course syllabi and maintain classroom records.
• Submit grading and evaluation reports promptly.
• Teach in various instructional settings and times.
• Fulfill duties per Administrative Regulation 7122.
• Other duties as assigned.
