Qualifications

• Masters in linguistics or applied linguistics as minimum;
• Bachelor’s in linguistics and Master’s in TESOL, anthropology, psychology, sociology, English or foreign language;
• A valid California Community College Credential;
• The equivalent education and/or experience (equivalency) is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Teach a part-time schedule of Linguistics courses as assigned.
• Utilize diverse teaching pedagogies including technology for face-to-face, online, and/or hybrid formats.
• Communicate effectively with students, faculty and staff.
• Adhere to approved curriculum outlines and course objectives.
• Evaluate student progress through tests, assignments and exams.
• Provide course syllabi and maintain classroom records per District policy.
