Job summary

Northampton Community College is seeking part-time hands-on adjunct instructors for the Lineworker Trainee Program. Instructors will help students develop safety, pole climbing, and line construction skills largely through outdoor sessions, and will also teach in the classroom and administer exams.

Scheduling is driven by program needs and may involve 1–4 days per week during each 12-week session. Prior journeyman experience is required; trainer experience is helpful.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Journeyman Lineworker.
• Experience as a trainer/instructor is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Teach hands-on outside sessions to develop safety, pole climbing and line construction skills.
• Present course material in the classroom and administer exams.
