Job summary

Westfield Insurance is seeking a part-time Cook to support our office dining and kitchen operations. The role involves setting up workstation, prepping food, cooking, plating, and maintaining a clean, organized space.

You will work with a culinary team, follow chef specifications, manage portions, and help with inventory, hygiene, and timely meal service at various office locations.

Requirements include 0–2 years in kitchen, a High School Diploma or GED, knife skills and food safety knowledge.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in Kitchen Management, Cooking or a related field.
• High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) and/or commensurate experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs Line Cook duties including setting up workstation, prepping food, cooking, cleaning, stocking and preparing food to the exact specifications of the Chef.
• Cleans station and assists with kitchen cleanup including disposing of garbage, cleaning utensils, pots, and pans, and cleaning cooking surfaces.
• Prepares ingredients by washing, chopping, and measuring them according to recipes and menu requirements.
• Plates and garnishes dishes to enhance their visual appeal and ensures proper portioning.
• Maintains hygiene, sanitation, and organized kitchen workspace; follows safety standards.
• Monitors cooking times and coordinates with staff for timely meal delivery.
• Ensures quality and freshness of ingredients and assists with inventory.
