Job summary

Hanley Foundation in West Palm Beach is seeking a part-time Line Cook (20 hours/week) to prepare, cook, portion, and serve meals in accordance with established menus and safety standards.

The role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent), a culinary credential or 2+ years cooking experience, ServSafe certification, and a valid driver’s license. Must be 21+, with sobriety requirement if in recovery. Shifts vary; benefits include 401k and related match.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Culinary degree or 2+ years of working experience.
• Valid ServSafe Food Handler certificate.
• Valid driver's license; mobility between buildings may be required.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• If in recovery, one year of continuous sobriety is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, portion, and serve menu items per recipes, production standards, and quality expectations.
• Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation guidelines.
• Maintain adequate food quantities during meal service based on daily census and requirements.
• Keep a clean, sanitary work area and properly store food items.
• Safely operate and maintain kitchen equipment per guidelines.
• Assist in storage of food items during delivery and report repairs to supervisor.
• Monitor food temperatures in compliance with safety requirements.
• Support meal prep for special events or facility needs.
• Uphold Hanley Foundation policies and client confidentiality.
