Job summary

Oak View Group, in partnership with Villanova University Athletics, seeks a Line Cook to prepare high-quality dishes for guests at events across the venue. The role requires reliable attendance and flexibility to work events as needed.

This part-time position pays an hourly rate of $19.00-$25.00 and offers benefits including a 401(k) savings plan and 401(k) matching for eligible staff.

Qualifications

• Prior cook or prep cook experience preferred.
• Able to operate standard kitchen equipment listed above.
• Strong communication in a respectful manner.
• Team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
• Food handling certificate if required; ServSafe preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, fresh food products in a timely manner for delivery to guests.
• Prepare hot and cold foods following recipes and portioning requirements.
• Participate as a team player with responsibilities related to preparation, service, and delivery.
• Report maintenance needed for kitchen equipment.
• Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
• Observe and test foods to ensure proper cooking.
• Portion, arrange, and garnish food plates for delivery to guests.
• Consult with Executive/Sous Chef to plan menus and estimate food consumption.
• Demonstrate reliable attendance.
