Job Opening: Part-Time Lifeguards

The City of Russellville Parks and Recreation Department is seeking Part-Time Lifeguards to provide lifeguarding services and routine administrative support. Lifeguards are responsible for ensuring the safety of patrons at the city’s two pools — one outdoor pool and one indoor pool with a splash pad and therapy pool.

WSI certification is preferred but not required. Must be able to swim 300 yards and dive to a depth of 12 feet.

Job Duties:

• Enforce pool rules and safety procedures.
• Maintain constant surveillance of the pool and deck areas.
• Ensure the pool and deck are free of hazards and obstructions.
• Respond to emergencies and demonstrate knowledge of emergency procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor or designated staff.

Job Requirements:

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Must have a flexible schedule.
• Must obtain Lifeguard, First Aid, and CPR certification upon hiring.
• Part-time position requires approximately 25–35 hours per week.

Pay: $13.00 per hour
