Reports to: Aquatics Lead
Supervisory Responsibilities: Participants engaging in water activities above the knees at on-site pool and pond; potential off-site supervision of waterfront activities.
Employment Status: Seasonal, Part-time
Season Dates:
Staff Training: May 19–23 and May 27–30
Summer Session: May 30–August 10

Whether you're watching over the pool, assisting with boating activities, or maintaining a safe environment, your role is essential to making summer unforgettable.
What You’ll Do:
Be a Safety Champion – Monitor swimmers, enforce pool and boating rules, and respond quickly to emergencies.
Keep the Pool Fun & Clean – Maintain a safe, clean, and organized aquatic environment, including the pool, shower house, and surrounding areas.
Supervise Water Activities – Oversee swimmers and boaters in all camp aquatic environments.
Run Swim Tests – Conduct and document camper swim tests to ensure safety.
Inspect and Maintain Equipment – Perform regular safety checks, maintain chemical levels, and clean the pool.
Work as a Team – Communicate and train staff on their poolside and pondside roles.
Follow All Safety Protocols – Lifeguard pool programs according to ACA ratios and policies.
Stay Engaged – Participate in staff meetings and contribute to a strong camp community.

The Perks & Pay:
Earn $14.00 per hour with approximately 20 hours per week

What We’re Looking For:
15+ years old
Current & valid lifeguard certification (American Camping Association approved)

A safety-first mindset – proactive and always alert
Ability to observe, assess, and act fast to ensure camper safety
